Mr. Rino Stocco is an Italian craftsman who has dedicated almost forty years of his life to the study and working of wood. Combining his great passion for mechanics and woodworking. This passion has often taken him around the world in search of places and cultures suitable for integrating his insights. Visiting the United States and Canada, he was fascinated by an object widespread throughout the American continent. A simple everyday object but with a precise design, timeless and contemporary at the same time.
The ADIRONDACK chair becomes for Stocco an object of study and research that brought him closer to the history of Mr. Thomas Lee and his invention.
The great respect for this character, who lived almost a century ago, and a strong character identification, convinced Stocco to create ADIRONDACK chairs following the original drawings and precise technical indications found in the notes in the Westport archives.
The chairs made by Stocco are undoubtedly a great and respectful tribute to
Mr. Thomas Lee
The choice of the most suitable wood species
The use of eco-sustainable materials
The thickness of the wood used
The absolutely artisanal workmanship
The comfort
The absence of visible screws both on the backrest and the seat
The solutions adopted for easy assembly
Undoubtedly make this Adirondack special.
